Born from a shared frustration
Every Bangkok parent knows the routine.
You're trying to find a swim class, an art studio, or a gymnastics session for your child. So you start searching online. Then comes the endless messaging โ WhatsApp, LINE, Instagram DMs โ asking the same questions over and over again:
Some places never reply. Others send schedules from last year. Eventually, after hours of back-and-forth, you finally manage to find and book something that works.
Then Thursday morning arrives. Your child wakes up sick.
Now you're trying to cancel, figure out the make-up policy, reschedule the session, and somehow keep track of everything in between.
We're Bangkok parents with full-time jobs, trying to juggle work, family life, schedules, and the constant search for meaningful activities for our children. Like so many other families, we found ourselves spending far too much time managing what should have been a simple process.
And the more we spoke to other parents, the more we realised we all shared the same frustration.
The challenge wasn't a lack of great activities. Bangkok is full of them. The challenge was connection.

Half-empty studios. Full-time passion.
But we also noticed something interesting on the provider side. We'd walk into incredible art studios, gymnastics centres, music schools, and kids' clubs across Bangkok and see beautifully run spaces sitting half empty. Passionate, talented providers offering amazing experiences โ but many struggling to consistently fill classes or reach nearby families actively looking for exactly what they offered.
It made sense when we looked at the economics. A provider's core costs โ rent, teachers, equipment โ stay largely the same whether one child shows up or ten. Every empty seat is pure lost revenue that can never be recovered.
They weren't failing for lack of quality. They were failing for lack of connection.
So we created KidsCompass.

At the same time, we help activity providers fill more classes, reduce admin, and focus on what they do best: creating incredible experiences for children.
